9-11-09 Remember, remember, the eleventh, September
8-9-09 Under the Wave
8-9-09 The Noise Song
8-4-09 Seen in Dreams and Heard in Waking
7-14-09 Stare in the mirror
5-31-09 I lie
4-29-09 Oh to weep, to cry
4-22-09 24 Hours 360 Degrees
4-22-09 Lord I cry
4-22-09 Down once more...
4-9-09 As the fire bursts along my veins
3-31-09 When darkness enters and the fire burns
3-26-09 Encinitas
3-24-09 Wildfire
3-19-09 She stands tall and proud, my ideal
3-2-09 Walking / Talking / Touching hands to hearts
2-17-09 A flower waiting in the rain
2-16-09 Into the wings
2-11-09 I feel an island
2-11-09 Oh Mighty and Wise
2-11-09 Sometimes I wish you were far away
2-8-09 Oh Lord how I desire...
2-3-09 A call to all my brothers
1-27-09 Here I am
1-25-09 This / Is a first and last day
1-22-09 In this dripping sopping world
1-21-09 Sitting there
1-2-09 Incomparable
1-2-09 I was looking into my heart today
12-31-08 Silent night, holy night
12-29-08 I heard
12-20-08 Lost.
12-17-08 A Cavewoman
11-24-08 Think of a triangle
10-30-08 We slid off the ground
10-14-08 One day, one day
9-17-08 An ever-winding path there goes through the woods
8-13-08 Twenty Years of Vacuumed Floors
8-11-08 A chill which does not touch me
8-11-08 Inside and out
6-30-08 Now the world is come and gone
6-30-08 Time passes
5-26-08 You/ Can't/ See
3-4-08 A timorous beat
2-8-08 I cannot understand
1-18-08 There is a shadow on my mind
1-16-08 I went on my normal evening walk
1-14-08 Come pick me up
1-12-08 For strength do I go
1-10-08 For nothing do I wait

12-29-08, Monday

I heard
her singing
And I fell in love
With it.
My freedom in
her fingers and
grace to me in her touch.
Black and white and black
keys
tinning my time for ever
Will I ever hear
mercy so sweet
as I did here that sound?
Of my sister playing on
the piano
Beside her
singing together
who would've thought?
but it sounds wonderfully
in that way that the two notes next to each other
can be in the same key.
The difference of a tiny vibration, unharmonious, and
perfect.
I sing low and you hit soprano
Switching octaves
flying free in the high ranges of a note
sinking low with you to swim in our vibrato
enjoying the sunlight of a melody
rain drumming in a D, G, F
chorus is laughter--
we just pick what we know, but
it's our hearts
it's all we know.
I don't sound this way with anyone else.
Perhaps one day he who does will look me in the eye.
